Join us for our annual fundraising gala celebrating the resilience of refugee families in Houston. An evening of music, cultural performances, dinner, and silent auction — all in support of our programs and the families we serve.
We are proud to announce a significant grant from BlueCross BlueShield of Texas to expand our refugee health navigation services, including mental health support, medical interpretation, and health literacy programming.
Over 300 community members from diverse backgrounds gathered for our annual Iftar dinner during Ramadan. The event celebrated unity, cultural exchange, and the shared values that bring our community together.
Through the Operation Allies Welcome program, ECDC HMC has successfully resettled over 150 Afghan families in the greater Houston area, providing housing, employment assistance, ESL classes, and cultural orientation.
Our resettlement team welcomed the first refugee families of 2026, arriving from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Myanmar. Volunteers furnished apartments, stocked kitchens, and greeted families at the airport.
To better serve our growing community, ECDC HMC has expanded into a larger office space at 11011 Richmond Ave, Suite 450. The new location offers more room for client services, ESL classes, and community events.
